“COVER” (working title)

is a new work-in-progress solo by dance artist Brita Grov. The solo explores what one conceals when others are watching. It delves into personal experiences of how to see oneself from the outside / inside.  Grov is working with dynamic contrasts in the body and in the space. Mirrors and phrames are being used in the research phase.

“Effort”

"Effort" can be defined as "the result of an attempt to create something, especially when the quality is low or uncertain". In the project "Effort", Kvinnereller Performing Arts Company examines what different people mean by the term "effort" and "effortless" in their everyday lives and how this can be expressed through movements and live music.

“Curtain” (work in progress)

In "Curtain", the dancers examine, unpack and "reveal" the inherent qualities and dynamics of things.
Are we really subject to ‘Sisyphus' curse’ to do the same actions, duties, tasks every day? What artistic potential can we discover by examining everyday actions? What routines characterize our lives and what happens when interruptions occur, when routines break?

Her Past in Their Present Now (HPITPN)

This is a personal story which stems from the choreographers’ experience on being diabetic, where the frustration on the female body takes over. Five female dancers explore the frustration and the strains from being scared of conflicts, through strong movements, intense actions and breath.

Choreographer: Brita Grov
Dancers: Robyn Holder, Roskva Yasmin Andersen, Sara Røisland Torsvik, Sophie Thorpe, Simona Kortenhaus. (Hazel Firth, Georgia Heighway, Samantha Furnival, Lucia Chocarro).

An Effort to Define the Undefinable Woman (AEtDtUW)

‘Kvinnereller’ is with their performance investigating what can characterise a woman, whether this is at all possible. The audience is invited into a woman’s private sphere as well as the versatile women’s community.  They meet strong women who are both tough yet vulnerable, with self-confidence and with poor self-image.

Choreographer: Brita Grov
Dancers: Rob Ferguson, Sara Røisland Torsvik & Simona Kortenhaus
